Expedition Cruises to Antarctica, Africa, the Galapagos and Beyond

Where Adventure Meets Luxury

Small-ship expedition cruises for groups and independent travelers, curated by specialists who know every ship, every destination, and every season.

If your idea of travel includes penguins, polar bears, or a coastline that sees fewer than a thousand visitors a year, expedition cruising was made for you. Gone are the days when this meant roughing it. Today’s expedition ships combine immersive adventure with refined comfort. Think elegant staterooms, gourmet dining, and expert-led excursions that take you deeper into nature without pulling you further from it. You might kayak among icebergs by morning and toast with champagne under a midnight sun by evening. We partner with the world’s most respected expedition lines to match your group with the right ship, itinerary, and season for your style of adventure. Our planning services are completely complimentary.

Adventure, Elevated

Our expedition journeys balance comfort with curiosity, sailing on smaller, purpose-built vessels designed to reach the world’s most remote corners. Onboard naturalists, historians, and expedition leaders turn every landing into a living classroom. You’ll kayak alongside glaciers, watch wildlife at sunrise, and step ashore on pristine beaches that see only a handful of visitors each year.

Where We Plan Expeditions

Amazon River

June through December
The Amazon is best experienced from small-ship expedition vessels during the lower-water months, when the rivers recede and wildlife concentrates near the banks. Pink river dolphins, macaw clay licks, anaconda searches at dawn. Each day produces something that has no equivalent anywhere else on earth. Best season: June through December. Best for: Nature-focused travelers and groups who want a genuinely remote experience in the tropics. We work with select small-ship operators for Amazon expeditions.

Antarctica

November through March
Antarctica is in a category of its own. The largest wilderness on earth, home to massive penguin colonies, dramatic icebergs, and skies that shift from steel gray to gold within minutes. Most expedition cruises sail from Ushuaia, Argentina, crossing the Drake Passage to the Antarctic Peninsula. The peak weeks of December and January offer the most daylight and the highest wildlife activity. Late November departures catch the season at its freshest, with smaller crowds and full inventory. Best for: Travelers who want a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. Groups who want something that is genuinely impossible to do any other way. We work with Quark Expeditions, Lindblad Expeditions, Hurtigruten, Silversea, and Seabourn for Antarctica sailings.

Galapagos Islands

Year-Round
The Galapagos offers something Antarctica cannot: wildlife that has no fear of humans. Blue-footed boobies, marine iguanas, giant tortoises, and sea lions that will sit beside you on a beach and simply observe. Every island is different. Every landing is unlike anything in standard travel. The Galapagos is accessible year-round, with water temperature and wildlife activity varying slightly by season. Wet season (December through May) brings calmer seas and more marine life activity. Dry season (June through November) brings cooler waters and excellent snorkeling. Best for: Wildlife enthusiasts, nature photographers, and groups who want something profoundly different from a European river cruise. We work with Lindblad Expeditions, Silversea, and select small-ship operators.

Arctic and Norway

June through August
The Arctic summer brings perpetual daylight and extraordinary wildlife: polar bears on the sea ice, walrus colonies, Arctic fox, and seabird cliffs that house millions of birds. Norway's fjords are among the most dramatic landscapes in the world. Best season: June through August, when wildlife is most active and daylight is continuous. Best for: Travelers who want to experience polar wildlife without the longer journey to Antarctica. Groups with a strong interest in Norwegian culture, fjord landscapes, and the High Arctic. We work with Hurtigruten, Quark Expeditions, and Lindblad for Arctic itineraries.

Africa

East African coastline, Okavango, and Cape routes
African expedition cruising reaches coastlines and waterways that safari vehicles cannot. The East African coastline, the waters around Madagascar, and select river routes offer a completely different perspective on a continent most travelers think they already know. The best season varies by destination. East Africa coast sailings run primarily March through November. We work with Silversea, Seabourn, and Hurtigruten for African expedition routes. Best for: Experienced travelers who want to go deeper. Groups who have done Africa by land and are ready to see it from the water.
